I find that point buy systems encourage "shopping for effectiveness," and that tends to lengthen character creation time. I think that a simplified approach similar to what is outlined in Eclipse (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=51254)<br />would work well with d20 Lite.
